I just got the message that Chris (Malachi / Godshot) has stopped his career at Stumptown in Portland.
I had the opportunity to meet him after our week in Seattle.
I was very impressed by his thoughts and ideas about being a barista and his knowledge about espresso and barista techniques.
Chris I hope you will stay in the barista scene in one or one other way.
And please keep going on writing. Because you are one of the best authors in the scene…

A bit strange maybe on the blog where you can read about the Dutch Barista culture,
but the first message is comming from Belgium!
Today my friend Peter Deprez from Belgium phoned me.
He told me that he won the pre-finals of the Belgium Championships.
That of course is very good for Peter. But the best news is that Belgium
started to do barista championships to.
9 people signed in, let’s hope for a great Belgium winner in Bern 2006.

There it is….
My blog is started. I was thinking a long time to start a barista blog.
I’m enjoying Gauperaa’s blog and of course Malachi’s blog every day.
And I was searching for a place to tell the world about the Dutch barista scene.
It’s not a big scene yet, but we are growing.
We did 4 championships now and the level is getting higher and higher.
So, I hope you will enjoy my blog and I’m sure there will be enough to tell you about.
